Harvest Baptist Reassembly Update

July 28, 2020

Dear church family,

Thank you so much for your faithfulness over the past several months! Here is a brief update on our efforts to get back to normal as soon as possible:

Although our original plan was to move to a second phase of our re-opening this week, our leadership team (Pastors and Deacons) have decided to extend our current phase for four additional weeks. This means that rather than moving to our second phase this week (called “Refocus” in our Reassembly Plan), we will continue meeting as we are currently in Phase 1 (called “Reassemble” in our Reassembly Plan) through August 23rd.

As a reminder, here are some of the specifics of our current phase:

  • Program

    • No children’s programs including nurseries, Sunday School, or Children’s Church.

    • Teens and children will be welcome in the auditorium for Sunday School and the main service but must sit with family.

    • No choir or choir practice.

  • Logistics

    • To maintain distance, we will be seating every other row. Open and closed rows are clearly marked.

    • Blue Cards and offerings are collected in a basket in the Welcome Center

  • Sanitation

    • Facial coverings are welcomed but are not required.

    • No use of hymnbooks or pew Bibles.

    • No food events (including no coffee / tea or snacks provided between services).

    • Staff / volunteers will wipe down doors, switches, and bathroom counters after each service.

    • Water fountain will be closed.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement of your brothers and sisters in Christ. Even though many of you have not yet been able to come back to church, we are glad we have been able to minister through streaming, notes, and phone calls. If you need any help or encouragement, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of our pastors. We love you and are thankful for each one of you.

God bless,

Pastor Marshall
